Year Nominee Started Playing: 1998
Footbag History / Significiant Leadership: Marilyn Demuy is part of the Aki Québec club since 1998. She is one of the greatest female kickers in the history of Footbag Net. It's more than time that she rejoins the 2 other greats from Montreal, Geneviève Bousquet and Maude Landreville. Besides getting awesome results in World Championships and other tournaments (see below) Marilyn embodies the nature of the sport of Footbag itself. She taught a high amount of people to kick properly, as she is a master of technique, and always brings good spirits to the game. She also personify fair play on the court. In her most recent accomplishment, she grabbed the triple crown at the 2024 World Footbag Championships (Singles, doubles and mixed doubles) while working tirelessly on the tournament organization. Marilyn is a great asset to her club and to the overall footbag community.

Coaching Experience: In Montreal, it's a collegiate approach to coaching, we teach each other in and out of the court. Marilyn shared her passion for the sport on many different levels with beginners on the court but also at the Tam-Tam a historical site of importance in Montreal's footbag history.
