Nominate a Player or a Contributor…
Eligibility for the Footbag Hall of Fame is based on Year of First Involvement (YFI) in the sport. YFI includes competing as a “Player” or as a “Contributor” (organizing/producing tournaments, promotions, festivals and more)
All nominees for the Footbag Hall of Fame must have a YFI that is 15 years or more from the year they are nominated. So for 2026, we require your nominee to have an established YFI of 2011 or earlier.
Nominations are focused on two banners:
PLAYER – whose footbag history has displayed “Significance and Excellence in competition ” by winning and placing in the top 3 consistently at Official IFPA Events.
CONTRIBUTOR – whose footbag history has displayed “Significance and Excellence in Leadership Rolls” by producing and organizing tournaments, clubs, touring team activities, coaching and more.
Since 1997, the Hall protocol allows any person to nominate a “Player” or “Contributor”. The person that nominates a “Player” or “Contributor” must contact the nominee, provide the Director the nominees contact information and must fill out and submit the Nomination Form.
Once the Nomination Form is submitted The Hall of Fame Director contacts the nominee and directs them to the footbaghalloffame.net website to fill out the Player or Contributor Affidavits.
OPEN NOMINATION DATES
April 1, 2026 through May 1, 2026.
Each nominee’s Background and Accomplishments information must be included on their Nominee Background Affidavit.
The affidavit must be completed and all information verified by the nominee and “Submitted” by May 1st.
By Submitting the Background Affidavit the nominee is verifying that their footbag historical and accomplishments information is True and Accurate.
Once a Player or Contributor Affidavit is Submitted it will be available to review by Members that Login.
The final criteria to be inducted into the Footbag Hall of Fame is based on receiving a minimum 66% majority of the votes cast by the Hall of Fame membership.
The Ballot will include ALL Qualified Nominees.
Member Voting will be Open from May 2nd through June 2nd.
Only Hall members can access the Submitted Background Affidavits and Voting page.
Official announcement of the 2026 Inductees will be on or before June 3rd.
