Bill Hayne
Bill Hayne came to footbag from a baseball background and became one of the standout early champions in footbag net. He first encountered the game while playing college baseball in Lewiston, Idaho, joined the NHSA, and became part of the second major National Hacky Sack Tour Team in 1980. He went on to become a four-time National Doubles Footbag Net Champion whose team play helped make doubles net especially appealing to spectators, and he is also remembered as the player whose competitive spirit led to the first flying inside spike. He was, just as importantly, an incredible friend and one of the people who made early net both athletic and joyful.
