Daniel Botkin

Daniel Botkin’s path into footbag was rich and deeply human. He first saw a footbag in Olympia, Washington, in 1978, then later rediscovered the game as a teacher trying to connect with students. What began as an effort to reach young people turned into a much larger footbag life rooted in teaching and craft, traveling around the world teaching people how to make footbags, helping spread not only the sport itself but also the craft of making quality footbags. He made a documentary video about his Footbag Peace Initiative in Central America as he spread the love of the Futbolito.
