Lori Jean Conover
Lori Jean Conover belongs to the earliest history of organized footbag. She started kicking in 1973 in Oregon where she crossed paths with John Stalberger in the mid-1970s, and saw net play for the first time in 1978 at Oak Grove gym. Bill Hayne recruited her to mixed play at an early tournament, and from there she played nearly every tournament she could for years. Conover was also a pioneer for women in the sport, a strong net competitor, and one of the organizers behind the legendary Moonin’ and Noonin’ Beaver Open.
