Steve Goldberg

Steve Goldberg was one of the key institutional builders of modern footbag. He co-founded the International Footbag Players’ Association, served as its first Executive Director, created footbag.org as the central web platform for the sport, and helped move the World Championships and the official rules structure into a stronger organizational framework. He also founded the Stanford Footbag Club, ran ten consecutive Western Regionals there, organized the World Championships in 1994 and 1995, and gave major financial support to events, IFPA, and players. The website effort was a crucial contribution to the sport, for which he deserves kudos.
