Walt Houston
Walt Houston was one of the strongest singles net players of the modern era. He began playing in 2003, won his first tournament in 2004, broke through at major IFPA events later in the decade, and won his first World title in Paris in 2014. He went on to build a total of seven singles world titles and two doubles world titles, becoming one of the defining net players of his time. He is still a dominant force, and a top seed at worlds. Houston also came out of the Memphis Footworks tradition, linking him to one of the longest-running net scenes in the United States.
